NYE Week at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Disneyworld

Happy New Year! I am confident 2015 will be a great year and I can't wait to get this year started already. If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know by now that I spent the past two weeks of Christmas break traveling. We went on a family (plus boyfriend) road trip to Orlando, Florida. We rented a car and left the day after Christmas. We stopped in New Orleans the first night and to visit Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, the French Quarter and enjoy some beignets at Cafe du Monde.

Once in Orlando, we spent three days at Universal Studios' Wizarding World of Harry Potter. If you're a big Harry Potter fan and have yet to go, I suggest you do so immediately because walking through Hogsmeade and the newest addition, Diagon Alley, is like being in the movies. Because we went during a peek time, right during the holidays, the lines were long and it was crowded. Unfortunately we were there when it was raining.

And then my favorite part: Disney World. We spent New Year's Eve at the happiest place on Earth. We didn't get to ride on that many rides or see much of Magic Kingdom because we wanted to get a good spot in front of Cinderella's Castle for the NYE fireworks show which I don't regret getting a spot so early on since we were able to see a lot of the shows, and the final show, the midnight countdown show, was just incredible. Words cannot describe the magical experience of ringing in the new year at Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

I'm already planning a trip back to Disney World. There was so much more left to do.

How were your holidays? Hope everybody enjoyed their holidays and spent time with loved ones!
